隨著LeBron James正式加盟費城七六人，外界也開始猜測湖人後衛Bronny James是否會追隨父親腳步一同前往費城。不過LeBron與Bronny共同經紀人Rich Paul已明確否認這項可能性，強調兩人並非「同捆包」，目前沒有任何讓Bronny加盟七六人的計畫。
根據《ESPN》記者Ramona Shelburne報導，Rich Paul受訪時直言道：
「他們不是同捆包，目前沒有任何計畫，也沒有任何要求讓Bronny前往費城與父親會合。」

Rich Paul如此直接表態也被外界解讀為Bronny短期內仍將留在湖人的重要訊號。由於自由市場已進入尾聲，若湖人沒有發動交易，Bronny新賽季留隊幾乎已成定局。
事實上即使LeBron宣布離開洛杉磯後，Bronny依然持續參與球隊活動，包括現身拉斯維加斯夏季聯賽場邊觀戰，以及參加湖人安排的老將迷你訓練營，顯示他仍以湖人球員身分投入備戰。
另一方面LeBron日前出席CNBC與《Boardroom》共同舉辦的Game Plan Summit時，也已將Bronny稱為自己的「前隊友」，象徵父子同隊的篇章正式畫下句點。
