NBA 官方宣布費城七六人球星Paul George因違反聯盟的禁藥政策，將被處以禁賽25場的處分。消息曝光後Paul George 也透過《ESPN》發表個人聲明，坦承錯誤並向球隊與球迷致歉。

「過去幾年，我一直公開談論心理健康的重要性，而在近期為了處理我個人的相關問題、尋求治療的過程中，我犯下了服用不當藥物的錯誤。我會為自己的行為負起全部責任，也要為這段期間糟糕的判斷，向七六人球團、我的隊友以及費城的球迷致上歉意。」
Paul George的禁賽處分無疑將對七六人戰力造成影響。球團接下來勢必需要在輪換與進攻端分工上做出調整，以因應核心球員缺陣所帶來的空缺。聯盟方面則未進一步透露相關藥物細節，僅強調本案依據現行反禁藥政策進行處理。
