Damian Lillard近日在一檔節目中談到過去共同效力拓荒者的隊友LaMarcus Aldridge，Lillard在節目上表示Aldridge過去選擇離開拓荒者遠走馬刺，是因為一次誤會所造成的。

當談到過去隊友LaMarcus Aldridge選擇離開拓荒者時，Lillard對此分享了自己的經歷與看法道：「我們分開在不同的球隊待了四年後，我才真正和他聊起這件事，說到底其實就是一些人在說一些有的沒的。我當時心裡想的只是『兄弟，我從來不在乎這是誰的球隊、誰的城市，這些我都不在意，我只是想成為你最好的支援。』」

Damian Lillard與LaMarcus Aldridge在過去同隊以來讓拓荒者展現競爭力，也曾率隊殺入西區準決賽，不過後續伴隨 Aldridge、Niu Batum、Robin Lopez、Wesley Matthews等主力離隊後，拓荒者當年的先發組合僅剩Lillard一人。
