近日有關湖人隊想透過交易爭取Andrew Wiggins的傳聞引發許多討論，而熱火記者Wes Goldberg則針對此傳聞進行了回應，表示熱火並未積極兜售Wiggins，湖人方面預計也不願意在交易中送出首輪籤。
熱火記者Wes Goldberg針對湖人與Andrew Wiggins的交易留言進行回應道：「熱火不會用Wiggins去換Dalton Knecht和一些用來湊薪資的球員。球隊並沒有積極兜售Wiggins，並且想看他新賽季能打出怎樣的表現。」
而且自Haywood Highsmith被交易後，他們也沒有一個顯而易見的側翼替補人選。另外湖人不會為了Wiggins而放棄那寶貴的2031年或2032年的首輪籤。除非上面這些情況能有所改變，不然就算湖人對Wiggins感興趣，那也沒有任何的實際意義。」熱火記者Wes Goldberg說道。
2024-25賽季中，Andrew Wiggins先後效力勇士和熱火，出戰了60場比賽，場均可攻下18分、4.5籃板、2.6助攻，投籃命中率為44.8%，三分球命中率為37.4%。
