根據《ESPN》記者Shams Charania報導，波士頓塞爾提克隊已與中鋒Luka Garza達成一份兩年期底薪合約。《The Athletic》記者Jon Krawczynski指出，塞爾提克隊其實早就對Garza感興趣，先前曾詢問過他的可交易性。

Garza即將進入他在NBA的第5個賽季，職業生涯初期他效力於活塞，近三季則待在灰狼隊。過去三年，他在灰狼出賽92場，場均上場時間僅6.3分鐘，貢獻4.5分與1.6籃板。

目前塞爾提克在內線方面人手相當短缺：Kristaps Porzingis被交易至老鷹、Luke Kornet加盟馬刺，Al Horford也受到多支球隊追求，現階段僅剩下 Xavier Tillman 和 Neemias Queta 兩位內線球員還有合約在身且仍在陣中。
