根據Shams Charania報導指出，Dennis Schroder將再被作為Butler交易案的籌碼再度被送至活塞隊，活塞隊也計畫將他留下，而活塞在昨日的交易案中已先獲得了Lindy Waters III、Josh Richardson。

活塞先前使用800萬的中產特例，從七六人那邊接收KJ Martin，有關KJ Martin的交易細節如下 ：

活塞獲得→ KJ Martin、受保護二輪籤

七六人獲得→ 2027年公鹿二輪籤、2031年獨行俠二輪籤

據薪資專家Yossi Gozlan跟進報導表示，活塞將利用1,400萬的薪資空間接收Dennis Schroder，然後透過底薪特例引入Lindy Waters III和Josh Richardson，並在後續與爵士進行交易。

爵士最終也在交易中接收了Josh Richardson、KJ Martin與活塞的2028年二輪籤，以此來交易取得Schroder：

Dennis Schroder在24小時內待過4隊，從勇士、熱火、爵士到活塞。先前Schroder曾評價NBA交易截止日帶來的影響如同「現代奴隸制」一般，而他自己也成為這次交易中被多隊轉換的籌碼。
