根據ESPN記者Shams Charania的報導，邁阿密熱火後衛Dru Smith確診左腳跟腱（阿基里斯腱）撕裂，他將缺席本賽季剩餘賽事。  

Dru Smith在週一的比賽中因左小腿受傷提前退場，隨即被認為傷勢嚴重。

Dru Smith於2021年選秀落選後進入G聯盟，2022/23賽季首次代表熱火以雙向合約登上NBA舞台。

本季初Dru Smith從右膝前十字韌帶撕裂中完全康復，並憑藉防守表現獲得穩定輪換位置，在受傷前的8場比賽中，他場均9.3分、2.8籃板、2.1助攻和2.3抄截，投籃命中率高達53.2%。  

為此熱火隊也簽下Keshad Johnson補足球隊球隊第14人的位置。  由於Dru Smith是雙向合約球員，熱火無法申請傷病特例。
