根據記者Adrian Wojnarowski消息，拓荒者與中鋒Duop Reath簽下三年正式合約，Reath這個賽季季初原本與球隊簽下的是雙向合約，不過在Deandre Ayton受傷沒打時稱職得扮演好自己角色，獲得繼續留在NBA的機會。

Reath過去是在南蘇丹出生，因為戰亂關係到了肯亞的難民營，最後遷居到了澳洲，大學時期有在NCAA打球，但投入NBA落選之後開始轉輾國外聯賽，去年Reath還在CBA青島隊打球，之後還到了黎巴嫩，暑假則是為澳洲打世界盃吸引球探的關注。

這個賽季Reath上場40場比賽，場均可以得到8.9分、3.8 籃板、1.1助攻，命中率有4成75，三分命中率有3成85，算是有外線的中鋒。
