根據記者Chris Haynes報導，公鹿對Dejounte Murray感到興趣，且聯盟不只有一隊對他感到興趣，其他報導則指出湖人同樣也對Murray感興趣。

不過根據其他記者報導，公鹿隊握有的資產扣除Giannis Antetokounmpo、Damian Lillard只剩下這些，且沒有任何的首輪選秀籤，若要匹配Murray的薪資可以出Bobby Portis+Pat Connaughton，但老鷹隊這個包裹的興趣恐怕不高。
