根據ESPN記者Shams Charania報導，受限自由球員Cam Thomas將以一年600萬美金的合約回歸布魯克林籃網隊。由於雙方未能達成新的協議，因此這份資格報價合約賦予Thomas完整的交易否決權，並將在2026年成為完全自由球員，屆時有10多支球隊將擁有薪資空間。

Thomas成為NBA自由球員市場最後幾位受限制自由球員（RFA）中第一位簽約的受限自由球員（其他三位分別是芝加哥公牛隊的Josh Giddey、金州勇士隊的Jonathan Kuminga和費城76人隊的 Quentin Grimes）。Thomas上季25場比賽場均24分、3.8次助攻和3.3個籃板。
