根據Shams Charania報導指出，明年10月由籃網對上太陽的季前熱身賽將在澳門舉行，而這也是繼2019年後NBA賽事再度重返中國舉行，場館地點則位於威尼斯人綜藝館。

過去19年至今NBA與中國的關係因部分政治因素分歧，而讓中國電視轉播在2019年暫時取消轉播NBA賽事，而這也讓NBA在接下來的幾個賽季中導致失去了利潤豐厚的贊助商、並損失了數億美元，而這次的季前熱身賽可說是雙方關係修復後的巔峰之舉。

2004年至2019年，17支NBA球隊在中國共進行了28場季前熱身賽， 2007年NBA在現在的威尼斯人綜藝館場舉行了兩場季前熱身賽，當時奧蘭多魔術隊對上中國男子國家隊和克里夫蘭騎士隊。
