Khaman Maluach嘔吐並離開球場後，比賽繼續推遲了幾分鐘。在比賽暫停期間，工作人員用大量毛巾清理了他嘔吐的區域。

最終杜克大學以74-64擊敗北卡羅來納州立大學拿下勝利，而賽後杜克大學總教練Jon Scheyer表示Khaman Maluach的嘔吐原因是因為抽筋，並表示他的身體狀態在離開賽場後並無大礙。
