根據奧蘭多魔術隊官方宣佈，中鋒Bol Bol將被球隊直接裁掉。
Bol Bol去年整季出賽70場比賽，有33場先發，可以繳出平均9.1分5.8籃板，同時有5成以上的命中率。去年在魔術隊吃下了很多時間，偶爾會有亮眼highlight表現的他被魔術給裁掉。
根據Yahoo記者Jake Fischer報導指出，魔術在選秀當日就想要把Bol Bol給交易掉。兩隊被提及有意交易Bol Bol。
一隊是太陽，但他們沒有球員可以匹配Bol Bol的合約，球員都被交易給巫師了；另外一隊是獨行俠，Bol Bol是他們如果交易掉JaVale McGee的備案人選。
Had heard the Magic were looking at dealing Bol Bol dating back to the NBA Draft. Two teams mentioned were Phoenix and Dallas, but the Suns have flushed out their veteran minimum centers. Wonder if Bol could be in the Mavericks’ plans if Dallas can find a deal for JaVale McGee.

另外一則推特報導則指出，魔術可以將Bol Bol交易給有足夠薪資空間或有交易特例的球隊，但魔術隊沒有選擇這樣做。有可能是考慮在簽下Joe Ingles和Mo Wagner之後，前場球員太過壅擠，沒有Bol Bol的發揮空間。
